Reports coming from Italy reveal that the North London club Arsenal are making efforts to sign Watford versatile midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure in the coming winter transfer window.
Abdoulaye Doucoure has interested the North London side and from all indications, they are now ready to move for the Frenchman who is speculated to be interested in a move away from the Hornets.
However, it is reported that Arsenal are not alone in the bid for the player with the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool interested in adding strength to their midfield.
According to reports, Abdoulaye Doucoure would have been an Arsenal player if former manager Arsene Wenger was to remain at the Emirates because he had made moves to find out the player’s availability from his representatives.
Abdoulaye Doucoure impressed last season and he has started on a good note again in this current campaign as he was instrumental in helping Javi Garcia men secure four wins in their first five games this season in the Premier League.
Suggestions are that Emirates Stadium team might make use of the player as a replacement for outgoing Aaron Ramsey with Abdoulaye Doucoure’s strength being his major selling point that other will clubs wish for.
