The talented midfielder had an excellent U18 career at the Emirates Stadium where he was the king of fine passing range as well as his pace and that is worthy of him to have the opportunity of playing his professional career with the club.
Matt Smith is known to be a hard worker who is known to do more work behind the scene and he has already hinted that it would not stop form him in his professional career as he hopes to achieve great things with the club in the nearest future.
The young lad will now head to the U23 team where he will continue his development, having gained experience of second-sitting football.
There is no doubt that Matt Smith is far from a first team football as he still has a lot to learn in the game which would be needed to play in the Unai Emery team.
