Daily Mail reported that Arsenal are ready to challenge Manchester United to secure the signature of the highly rated Atletico Madrid star.
25-year-old Griezmann finished third behind Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi for his brilliant performances with the club and country in the race for Ballon d’Or.
This season so far he has featured in 28 games for the Spanish side and has scored 14 times with 7 assists.
The Daily Mail stated further that Griezmann will likely demand a salary of over £250,000-a-week (I.e £13million-a-year) and Arsenal would expect to match that. But as things stands now, Manchester United believe that they are favorites to sign him – additionally considering that his compatriot Paul Pogba is persuading him to join Man United.
Considering the reports of this month, all things points to Manchester United getting him. Even the Independent covered a report just few days back where they claimed that Man United have verbally agreed the terms and the shirt number with the attacker. So we think it is more likely they get him.
