Premier League title contenders Chelsea have reportedly been linked with a move for Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez ahead of the upcoming transfer window in the New Year.
According to the publication, trusted Spanish media platform Marca, said new Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is a big fan of the 24-year-old.
The report also revealed that the Italian tactician tried to sign Denis Suarez while he was the manager of Italian Serie A side Napoli.
Sarri swapped Naples for London in the summer after he put pen to paper on a three-year deal to replace compatriot Antonio Conte as the Chelsea manager.
Sarri is expected to make a move to sign the Spanish international for West London giants Chelsea.
The former Manchester City Academy player has had to battle with injuries during his time with the Spanish champions.
He returned to Barcelona in 2016 from fellow Spanish La Liga side Villarreal.
Despite his injury problems at Barcelona, Denis Suarez has managed to score three goals in 44 appearances for his club in the league.
He could be a potential replacement for Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic whose long-term future at Stamford Bridge is in doubt.
Kovacic is on a season-long loan from Champions League holders Real Madrid.
