Chelsea Must Pay £80m To Sign Everton Star

Former European champions Chelsea will reportedly have to spend big if they are to sign one of their targets in the summer.

Everton forward Richarlison has been targeted by the Blues as a potential replacement for star player Eden Hazard who may leave the West Londoners in the summer.

According to the publication from the Daily Star on Sunday, Chelsea will have to spend at least £80m to sign Brazilian international Richarlison.

The Toffees have slapped a potential club-record transfer fee of £80m on the former Watford player.

Richarlison swapped Watford for Everton at the start of the season in a deal reported to be around £40m plus add-ons that could take the transfer fee towards the £50m mark.

He has already scored 11 goals for the Merseysiders in all competitions including 10 goals in the league in what’s his first campaign as an Everton player.

Richarlison is one of the players on the Blues’ transfer shortlist ahead of the summer in the event that Belgian international Hazard leaves the club.

Eden Hazard has just 18 months left on his Chelsea contract and it’s almost certain that be won’t sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge with the player keen to join European champions Real Madrid.
