Chelsea Open Contract Talks With £100m-rated Attacker

West London giants Chelsea have opened contract talks with talismanic attacker Eden Hazard.

This is according to the publication from French media outlet Le 10 Sport which claimed that the Blues want to secure the future of the Belgian international player.

Eden Hazard has less than 18 months on his Chelsea contract and he has been linked with a move to Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid.

Recent reports had claimed that Chelsea will only sell Eden Hazard for at least £100m if he fails to sign a new deal this summer.

By then, the 28-year-old will have just one year left on his Chelsea deal.

Eden Hazard has previously talked about his desire to sign up for Real Madrid but the aforementioned publication revealed that the Los Merengues have not made a move for the player.

Chelsea might have changed their stance on Eden Hazard and his contract situation at the club following the news that they have been handed a two-window transfer ban in relation to the signing of players under the age of 18.

The former European champions have reacted to the transfer ban from world soccer ruling body FIFA by denying any wrongdoing.

Chelsea also revealed that they will appeal against the ruling.
