It was made known that the management at Stamford Bridge might have found a nice replacement for the talented player.
According to the Sunday Times, Chelsea are trying to sign Man United’s Anthony Martial before the closure of the ongoing summer transfer window.
The red devils are reportedly demanding £90M for the Frenchman’s signature, and it was also added that Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are also interested in signing him.
Martial joined Manchester United from Monaco for £50M – a deal that made him the most expensive teenage football player that year. He first worked under manager Louis Van Gaal and was able to settle quickly to life at the Theater of Dreams under the Dutch boss.
However, he couldn’t get along with current manager Jose Mourinho and has seen his opportunities limited under the Portuguese boss since Alexis Sanchez was signed from Arsenal.
The former Monaco star has emerged as a target for Chelsea and is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer.
He is seen as a potential replacement for Belgium international Eden Hazard – who is likely to join Real Madrid any time soon.
