David Seaman makes claim for Unai Emery

Arsenal legend David Seaman has made a case for the Arsenal management for making statements that are capable of mounting unnecessary pressure on manager Unai Emery.

According to Seaman, it is wrong for the club to suggest that they suffer because of the lack of Champions League football.

This is the second consecutive season that the North London side were found missing in the Europe’s biggest competition but the two occasions had former Gunners boss Arsene Wenger in charge.

Unai Emery took charge in the summer and he currently sits fifth in the Premier League table with about 15 games unbeaten in all competitions which keeps the club in good shape.

Seaman argues that the Spanish boss is on the right track to return the Gunners back to glory days but noted that it would be wrong to mount pressure on him with unnecessary scrutiny.

The Gunners legend admits that finishing the season in the top four would be a perfect season for his former side as he noted that the contest seems more difficult than ever.

According to him, the Unai Emery side stand a better chance of returning to the Champions League next season by winning the Europa League which to him is possible.
