Done deal: Liverpool player completes transfer

Liverpool youngster Rafael Camacho, who made his first-team debut against Wolves on Monday, has been sent on loan to Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon for the next 18 months.

The young Portuguese player was handed a rare start by Klopp on Monday and he put up an awesome display at the right-back position.

The youngster wasn’t overwhelmed with the fact that he was up against much experienced strikers, he stood his ground and prevent the Wanderers strikers from getting pass him too often and too easily.

However, the Reds were defeated 2-1 and they automatically crashed out of this year’s FA Cup competition.

Despite his eye-catching and inspiring performance at the Monileux stadium, Klopp wasn’t convinced enough to retain his service, hence, the German agreed to loan him back to his country for more first-team action.

According to the Sun, the Reds sealed an 18-month loan deal with Lisbon for the youngster’s signature which means Camacho will be with the Portuguese side till 2020 summer transfer market.

Camacho started his Liverpool’s career two years ago having spent some years with Manchester City’s development squad.

He will hope that his switch to Sporting Lisbon — his childhood club — helps him develop his game to the point where he will be able to compete with older players for a place in Klopp’s regular starting lineup.

In other Liverpool news, the Reds have reportedly intensified their chase after Timo Werner’s signature.

They are ready to spend big on the Germany international but they will need to contend with Chelsea who are also targeting a move for the 22-year-old player.
