Emery reveals why Shkodran Mustafi should not be criticized

North London outfit Arsenal boss Unai Emery has told the fans to get behind defender Shkodran Mustafi and not criticize him after his performance in the Premier League game against Crystal Palace where the Gunners team were defeated 3-2.

The performance of former Valencia has not been satisfactory to the fans over the past weeks but the feeling could not be held back by the fans as they blasted the central defender and blamed him for the defeat which was a setback to the club in the bid to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League table.

A number of pundits have also lashed out at Shkodran Mustafi, claiming that he is not good enough for the club and should be shown the way out after his blunders against Crystal Palace but manager Unai Emery has refused to go in that direction, claiming that he is a very good player.

The Spanish boss notes that Shkodran Mustafi has done his best for the team with good tackles noting that he was the best player against Watford but that is not remembered each time he does a single mistake.

According to the former PSG boss, his players have to be protected and that he said is necessary to get the best out of them in subsequent games.

It is therefore, yet to be seen if the Arsenal boss will go ahead to sanction the sale of Shkodran Mustafi as called for in the coming summer window.
