Emery’s secret talks with defender revealed

English Premier League outfit Man United have been linked with the signature of French Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier, but it is reported that Arsenal boss Unai Emery has been holding secret talks with the star Defender for over a month.

The report claims that Unai Emery is close to sealing a deal with the PSG man without the knowledge of the Red Devils.

Thomas Meunier is reportedly keen to leave PSG while the interest from Arsenal and Man United is well known to him but he is yet to finalize any talks with either of them.

However, Arsenal and Man United have got peculiar problems to solve in this summer transfer window which makes their search for a defender very extensive and that could justify their reason for moving in for the same player.

It is therefore suggested that Thomas Meunier will only give his signature to any of the clubs that will be convincing enough with good programs that can help his career.

The summer transfer window is almost blown open and every other club including Man United and Arsenal will be moving in to secure additions that will help bolster their squad for next season’s challenge.

Meanwhile, Arsenal is not in an advantageous position owing to the limited funds available to Unai Emery.
