Expensive Transfer: Man United Target Offered £350k p/w Contract

Ajax Amsterdam defender Matthijs De Ligt has been offered a lucrative offer by Premier League giants Manchester United as major European sides continue to battle for his signature this summer.

This is according to a publication from the Daily Mirror which claimed that Manchester United are among the favourites to land the in-demand player.

It was revealed that the Red Devils have made a £70m bid for the player in addition to a lucrative contract worth £350,000 on a weekly basis.

Manchester United will have to contend with the likes of Spanish champions Barcelona and fellow Premier League outfit Liverpool if they want to sign the 19-year-old center back.

De Ligt is one of the most sought-after players on the European football scene this summer.

Senior Ajax officials have already confirmed that the young Dutch international defender will leave the club this summer.

Liverpool have been told to sign Matthijs De Ligt as the Reds try to usurp Premier League champions Manchester City at the top of English football.

Manchester City beat Liverpool to the Premier League title by just a solitary point at the end of the 38-game season.

For now, Matthijs De Ligt is still an Ajax Amsterdam player having led the Dutch Eredivisie giants to their first domestic double in a long time.
