Manchester United have finally tabled a £54 million bid for Italian Serie A defender Milan Skriniar in a bid to seal a deal in coming days before the end of this winter transfer window.
The Red Devils are desperate to land additions that will bolster their defence and they have been able to identify the Inter Milan defender as a good fit for the job.
Italian publication Tutto MercatoWeb reports that the Slovakia international is one of the strongest targets of the Red Devils and hinted on the possibility of having a deal finalized in this winter transfer window.
United had made a first attempt which was bounced by the Italian Serie A outfit and they are reported to have submitted an improved deal for the star player.
With Milan set to secure the signature of Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid star Diego Godin this winter, it give s a clue that they will no longer have a need of Milan Skriniar in the club.
The player is also reported to be seeking a move away as he is not willing to see out his current deal which runs out in 2022.
United will, therefore, bank on the player’s wish to press for his move this winter window.
