128-Goal Striker Would Bolster Chelsea Attack – Ex-Blues Defender

Former Chelsea defender William Gallas has identified a La Liga star as the man to rescue the Blues from their blunt attack.

In his latest interview with Leo Vegas, the ex-Arsenal player believes that Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has the qualities to add the much needed firepower to the Chelsea attack.

According to him, his compatriot is one of the top five strikers on the world football stage.

William Gallas also revealed that he would like to see Antoine Griezmann play in the Premier League.

Griezmann was recently part of the France squad that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.

He was on target in the final as France defeated fellow Europeans Croatia 4-2 to win a second World Cup title after the 19988 triumph on home soil.

Antoine Griezmann joined Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid from fellow top flight side and he has grown to be one of the best players in the league since his move to the Wanda Metropolitano.

He has scored 128 goals in 239 appearances in all competitions for Atletico Madrid in his five seasons at the club.

His goals helped Atletico Madrid to the 2016 Champions League final though he missed a penalty during the regulation time as his team lost on penalties to their city rivals Real Madrid.
