Have Arsenal finally found a sporting director?

North London outfit have been in the search for a sporting director and it is now claimed that former player Marc Overmars has been identified as the favourite to land the job amongst other candidates.

A replacement for Sven Mislintat who left the club this month is very necessary owing to the role he played which needs to be available ahead of the coming summer transfer window as the North London outfit plans to get busy when it is opened.

Sven Mislintat, who joined the Gunners in 2017 has been able to make huge progress for the club by securing the signature of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for Borussia Dortmund, Lucas Torriera from Sampdoria and young lad Mateo Guendouzi.

All of these players have made immediate impact at the club and it was expected that they remain but that did not happen with speculation that Sven Mislintat had a sour relationship with some of the club’s chief.

However, Marc Overmars has been tipped to replace the former head of recruitment having gained needed experience at Ajax as their director of football where he ensured that stars like Frenkie de Jong, Matthijs de Ligt and Justin Kluivert are produced and made to be valuables at the moment.
