How United succeeded in convincing ace to snub Chelsea

Latest revelation hint that Manchester United youngster Tahith Chong was on the verge of joining West London side Chelsea but the Red Devils were able to have their way in convincing him to move to the Old Trafford.

Tahith Chong signed for United from Feyenoord in 2016 and was quick to impress in the U18 team, a development that earned him a promotion to United’s Academy where he also performed brilliantly in the U23 team.

Tahith Chong made his full debut for United’s first team this month when he was subbed in against Reading in the FA Cup.

United’s former youth recruitment, Derek Langley revealed that he was responsible for convincing Tahith Chong and his parents against moving to West London.

The youth recruitment boss noted that Tahith Chong was first discovered by the club’s scout in Holland and he was being followed.

It is now a thing to boast of for Derek Langley that Tahith Chong has finally seen his first team debut as he hopes that more can be handed to him in the Premier League as the season progresses.

However, United will hope to make use of the best team so as to ensure more wins in the league for a top four push.
