John Barnes – Chelsea will have to battle Man United and Tottenham for the 3rd and 4th position

John Barnes says Chelsea will have to battle Man United and Tottenham for the third and fourth position

EX Liverpool player, John Barnes in a recent statement have predicted what the 2018/19 EPL season will look like come June 2019.

John Barnes in his statement disclosed that current EPL toppers, Manchester City will maintained their spot as the league leaders while Liverpool will come second thus qualifying for another UEFA Champions League.

Then we are left with the third and fourth position, which according to Barnes will be between Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea have kept a straight four wing under their new coach, Sarri Maurizio and are expected to make it to the top four this season after finishing in the fifth position under Antonio Conte last season.

Tottenham Hotspur have grown to be one of the formidable football clubs in England especially after they disgracefully defeated Manchester United in a 3 – 0 win.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to find the Hotspurs in the top four again this season.

However, Manchester United, who Barnes said will be in the top four is quite surprising.

This is owing to the fact that Man Utd are currently facing some issues at the moment which has escalated to the pitch with the Red Devils losing two of four matches already.
