Liverpool star to undergo scan to determine the level of his injury

Liverpool midfielder and captain, Jordan Henderson sustained an injury during the game against Huddersfield last night.

Although the game ended with one goal in favour of Liverpool, Henderson sustained what is reported to be a hamstring during the match and was immediately replaced in the halftime by Gini Wijnaldum.

According to a post-match statement by Jurgen Klopp, he disclosed that the Reds midfielder didn’t want to leave the pitch but Liverpool were medically advised to replace him.

Jordan Henderson before he was replaced by Gini Wijnaldum put up some great performances for the Reds, he made some tackles and played well in the midfield.

However, it seems Liverpool may have substituted him in the halftime to let him get enough rest ahead of their game in the Uefa Champions League against Red Belgrade – which is a must win, having lost their last UCL match to Napoli in Italy.

A report from Anfield disclosed that Jordan Henderson will undergo a scan to determine the level of his injury and how long he will be away.

This comes at a moment when Liverpool will be in need of their key midfielders, Naby Keita is reportedly injured and will be out for two weeks.
