Liverpool In £58m Pursuit Of Diminutive Attacker

Premier League leaders Liverpool won’t have a better chance of winning the competition for the first time after they went six points clear at the top of the table at the end of the Boxing Day fixtures.

The Reds are said to be keen to boost their squad in the upcoming January transfer window with quality additions like Napoli attacker Lorenzo Insigne as they try to win a debut Premier League title.

The six-point cushion at the top of the Premier League table was made possible by the 4-0 demolition of struggling Newcastle United.

Liverpool have already been linked with several forwards to improve the squad ahead of the second half of the season.

RB Leipzig star Timo Werner, Borussia Moenchengladbach attacker Thorgan Hazard and diminutive Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne are some of the names mentioned as possible attacking additions for the Reds.

Liverpool fans are no stranger to the qualities of the Italian international player who faced the Merseysiders two times this season in the Champions League.

He scored the winning goal at the end of their first meeting to give his Napoli side a 1-0 win at home to Liverpool before failing to score in the return match which ended in a 1-0 home victory for the Reds.

The Media Referee claim that Lorenzo Insigne could cost around £58m.
