Premier League giants Liverpool have emerged as a contender in the race to sign young Serbian striker Luka Jovic ahead of the next transfer window scheduled to start as from the 1st of January.
Luka Jovic plays his club football for German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt and he has been in sensational form for the Europa League campaigners.
He joined the club this summer on a season-long loan move from parent club and Portuguese Super League giants Benfica.
His form has attracted the crème de la crème of European football to his signature.
Luka Jovic has been strongly linked with a transfer to the Premier League with Liverpool.
He has scored nine league goals in the new German Bundesliga campaign already, including five goals against newly promoted side Fortuna Dusseldorf.
The 20-year-old became the first player to score five goals in a Bundesliga since Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski achieved the feat two seasons ago in a game against VFL Wolfsburg.
He has also scored three goals in the Europa League to take his overall tally to 12 goals in all competitions.
According to the publication form popular German media outlet Bild, Jovic has a £5.3m buyout clause in the loan contract that took him to Eintracht Frankfurt from Benfica.
