Liverpool set to sign 24-year-old star to complement summer signing Keita

Liverpool set to sign Nabil Fekir to complement summer signing Keita

Phil Thompson wants Merseyside giants Liverpool to bring in Nabil Fekir to complement the latest intake, Naby Keita.

Fekir will be a good signing
Phil Thompson feels midfielder Nabil Fekir would be a good signing to the Reds squad to complement Naby Keita in midfield.

The France international midfielder has been heavily linked with a transfer to Liverpool over the last couple of months but a transfer deal has failed to happen so far.

Fekir was believed to be close to a transfer to Anfield ahead of the FIFA World Cup after the Merseyside club were alleged to have agreed to a transfer fee with Ligue 1 side Lyon.

The attacking midfielder travelled to the Merseyside club for a medical examination before the transfer move fell through due to worries about a knee injury.

Rumour has claimed that Liverpool could reignite their interest in the France midfielder this summer transfer window.

The Former Liverpool defender would welcome the signing of Fekir to Anfield Stadium in the present transfer window.

Keita will complement new signing
Thompson told Sky Sports that we have all seen Naby Keita join the club and the Nabil Fekir transfer deal may still materialize.

Guinea international midfielder Naby Keita has joined his Liverpool colleagues following his £48million move from German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.

Liverpool signed Brazil international midfielder Fabinho in a £40million transfer deal from French Ligue 1 club Monaco last month.
