The Blues camps are in a happy mood at the moment, this comes after their left back defender and Spain International, Marco Alonso finally signed a new five-year deal.
Well, the report doesn’t really come as a surprise, this is because the Blues top defender had earlier this month disclosed he is already in talks with Chelsea over a contract extension that would be unveiled at the end of the month.
Marcos Alonso joined Chelsea in 2016 from Florentina and he has so far turned out to be their best player at the left back.
Since his arrival at Chelsea, the 27 years old ace defender has made 92 appearances for the Blues with 15 goals and 11 assists to his name.
Marcos Alonso in a recent statement hinted that he is happy to remain at Chelsea.
He said, ”am so happy to stay here longer and to keep playing for one of the best teams in the world.”
Alonso hinted that his past two seasons at Chelsea has been very good and he looks forward to enjoying his remaining stay at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues in a statement also made it known that they are happy that the left back defender has decided to stay put at Chelsea.
