Milan Focus: Ex-Chelsea Player Sets Sights On Serie A Job

Ukrainian national team manager Andriy Shevchenko harbors the ambition of managing Italian Serie A outfit AC Milan.

The former AC Milan and Chelsea player told reporters that he has his eyes on the Italian Serie A job in a chat with media portal DAZN though he was quick to point out that his former Milan teammate Gennaro Gattuso is doing a very good job.

Gattuso is the current AC Milan manager but he has come under a lot of bashing in recent weeks following the poor run of form from his team.

AC Milan have won just two of their last eight games in the league including the 2-1 home win over Bologna in their last league game.

The Rossoneri were also dumped out of the Coppa Italia by Lazio within that period.

Lazio will face high-flyers Atalanta in the Coppa Italia final later this month.

The poor run of league results has left AC Milan with a lot to do to secure at least fourth position with three games left to play in the Italian Serie A this season.

At one point, AC Milan were in third position ahead of city rivals Inter Milan who have been able to snatch third spot back with Atalanta in fourth position and three points ahead of AC Milan and AS Roma in fifth and sixth position respectively.
