He made it known by posting on his Instagram timeline that he has finally parted ways with his beautiful girlfriend.
The Chilean footballer who earns £505,000-a-week at the Premiership club sounded very emotional in his goodbye message to his lover on his social media page.
In his post, he wished her the best of the world, adding that he never regretted meeting her with the beautiful moments they had both shared.
He noted that the decision to split was made by both of them, hence he had no issue with it.
He therefore warned that his current state be respected and well handled by members of the public.
The Chilean said any word or reaction of the public could harm their family and children, stressing that they must be protected from the situation.
The former Barcelona and Arsenal player had earlier reacted to claims that he was separated from his girlfriend, earlier in May where he ranted on his social media page.
Meanwhile, United are saved by the fact that the international break is still on, knowing that it could affect the playmaker who is yet to find his feet at the club.
