Liverpool Target Left Out Of Preseason Game Amid Transfer Rumours

Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir was left out of the side’s preseason against Chelsea amid intense transfer speculation.

The attacking midfielder has been tipped to make a move away from the French giants this summer and even had move to Liverpool collapse at the last minute due to an injury problem.

Liverpool are said to have pulled out of the race to sign Fekir, but Jurgen Klopp has since refused to rule out a move before the end of the summer business.

Latest reports from France Football claim that Chelsea are trying to launch a late minute swoop on Fekir as they plan to add more firepower to their squad ahead of the new Premier League season.

Lyon are said to be holding out for a significant deal before allowing Fekir leave the club this summer, after refusing to lower their demands for Liverpool after the latter discovered the player’s injury record.

Chelsea lock horns with Lyon in their final pre-season game on Tuesday, but have left Fekir behind in France as he just returned to training on Monday following his World Cup duties with France.

The French playmaker has shone with wonderful performances in the last 12 months, where he scored 23 goals in the last campaign, earning him a spot in the French national side that won the World Cup.
