Revealed: Arsenal, Man Utd Favourites To Sign France-based Chelsea Target

Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United are reportedly the front-runners in the keenly contested race to sign Paris Saint Germain (PSG) midfielder Adrien Rabiot during this summer’s transfer window.

This is according to the publication from the stables of The Sun.

Adrien Rabiot is available on a free transfer this summer following the expiration of his PSG contract this summer and several European clubs have been linked with a swoop for him including Chelsea who is expected to sign a new midfielder in the coming weeks.

Chelsea is yet to sign a replacement for Spanish international Cesc Fabregas since he left the club to join French giants AS Monaco in January.

Players like Leandro Paredes (moved from Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg to PSG during the winter transfer window), Nicolo Barella (Cagliari) and Bruno Fernandes (Sporting Lisbon) were linked with a move to Chelsea but nothing came out of those transfer links.

For now, Chelsea is behind both Arsenal and Manchester United in the race to sign French international Adrien Rabiot.

Barcelona were previously the favourites to sign the 24-year-old but their interest has cooled down in recent weeks partly due to the acquisition of Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Frenkie De Jong.

Dutch international De Jong will link up with his Barcelona teammates later this summer.
