Sarri rules out January transfer

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has ruled out the possibility of signing players when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

Sarri revealed this while he was answering questions from reporters during his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of this weekend’s Premier League match against London rivals Crystal Palace.

The Italian tactician would be keen for the Blues to maintain their unbeaten start to the new Premier League season when they host Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

While speaking further about possible transfers, Maurizio Sarri pointed out that his present squad is competitive enough to win major honours and that he’s looking to improve his squad tactically.

Chelsea have recovered from the average outing of last season under former manager Antonio Conte who was sacked after a disappointing fifth-place finish.

He was dismissed with a year left on his Chelsea contract despite winning the 2018 FA Cup title via a 1-0 win over Manchester United in their final clash in May.

Chelsea have seen their form soar under Sarri since he replaced his compatriot in the summer.

Under his watch, Chelsea have emerged as a major title contender after an unbeaten start to the new season.
The Blues have won seven and drawn three of their ten Premier League games.
