Spurs Join Race To Sign £70m Chelsea Target

North London giants Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined the keenly contested race to sign highly-rated Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa ahead of the start of the transfer window this summer.

This is according to the publication from popular media outlet Goal.

It was revealed that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is ready to splash cash on the Italian international in his quest to boost up his squad for major honours.

Federico Chiesa has been in sensational form for Fiorentina this year including the scoring of a treble in the 7-1 thrashing handed out to AS Roma in their Coppa Italia clash.

His form has attracted several European clubs including West London giants Chelsea.

Chiesa has been linked with a transfer to Chelsea dating back to last summer when Italian tactician Maurizio Sarri was appointed the Blues’ boss.

Apart from the London duo of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, Federico Chiesa has also been linked with a move to Manchester United as well as the Italian Serie A duo of Inter Milan and Juventus.

Tottenham Hotspur have lacked a consistent presence on the wings in recent seasons and Chiesa could provide them with that option though it remains to be seen whether they have the financial might to sign the winger rated at £70m.
