Three lessons Liverpool must learn from the match against Napoli

Liverpool had a poor outing against Italian club, Napoli last night in the UCL.

Most of Liverpool players were not at their best, they were unable to move forward with Napoli freezing them out completely.

The Reds were also unable to have a shot on target which has never happened before under Jurgen Klopp, the German has however accepted the poor performance of the squad as his fault which was to some extent obvious.

After the match against Napoli, we believe the Reds have to take to these three lessons, they include:

1. The midfield trio is now set for an extended run together.

Liverpool midfielder and Guinea international, Naby Keita started for the Reds last night alongside James Milner and Gini Wijnaldum but his stay on the pitch was cut short after he suffered a back injury.

Keita was replaced by Jordan Henderson and it looks like this is how the midfield will look like (Milner, Wijnaldum and Henderson) pending the time Keita will return.

This is because Fabinho is not looking good to start for the Reds at the moment, Chamberlain is still on injury.

2. It is obvious Mo Salah has lost his magical side

Since the commencement of the season, the Egyptian has not been all that great, with just 3 goals to his name, Mo Salah is struggling to perform.

If Liverpool want to be a major contender this season then Mo Salah must gain back his form.

3. Shaqiri needs to be given an important role

What Liverpool need now is a player that can move the ball forward from the midfield to the wings and at the moment only Xherdan Shaqiri can perform this purpose with Naby Keita out.
