Legend Warns Liverpool Against January Transfers

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Blackburn Rovers star Tim Sherwood has warned against adding to their squad when the transfer window reopens next month.

Liverpool have surged to the top of the Premier League table and the Reds have extended their lead to six points over nearest challengers Tottenham Hotspur.

The Merseysiders were able to open a six-point cushion at the top following their 4-0 thrashing of Newcastle United at Anfield on Boxing Day.

Tim Sherwood is a former Premier League title winner with Blackburn Rovers during the 1994/95 season and also managed Tottenham Hotspur before current boss Mauricio Pochettino was appointed manager.

He has the experience of winning the Premier League title and has warned the Reds against any signings in January.
Sherwood is now a football pundit and he spoke about the Reds’ title challenge and possible transfers while he was on The Debate on Sky Sports.

According to him, new signings might unbalance the current Liverpool squad and that could go on to affect their title challenge.

Liverpool have been linked with transfer for German-based players like Borussia Dortmund forward Christian Pulisic and Borussia Moenchengladbach star Thorgan Hazard as the Reds seek to upgrade the backup options in the forward positions at the club.
