It has been established that French side Paris Saint Germain are keen to have the signing of Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea but it has been a difficult and frustrating one for them because of the way it has been handled by the owners of the player.
The former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper will be out of contract with the Old Trafford side at the end of the season which makes him free to leave but the club are preparing to activate a clause in his contract that will have him remain for another one year against his wish.
Efforts to have him commit his future to the club have failed with talks held with United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward failing to convince him.
Keeping De Gea at Old Trafford will be a frustrating one for the French giants as they seek to have him as soon as possible so as to beat competition from Italian side Juventus.
However, the Spaniard agent Jorge Mendes has a tense relationship with PSG which will make it a move difficult towards that direction difficult.
Meanwhile, Juventus will be glad to have the player who is already aware of the report that he is being wanted.
