Why Mourinho would be proud despite United sack

English Premier League outfit Manchester United parted ways with Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho in December last year and immediately called on former player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to replace him immediately.

The former Chelsea boss might still be jobless but he would be proud after learning that the new interim manager has his eyes on one of the players he has always cried to the board to buy.

This means he actually knew what was right for the club as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seem to be all over Harry Maguire after describing him as fantastic.

After pulling an outstanding display against league leaders Liverpool last week, Harry Maguire was again impressive against the Red Devils and almost got a goal. He has obviously confirmed that Mourinho was right to have pressed for him.

There are suggestions that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could continue the chase of Harry Maguire in the coming summer window as he described him as a player with a magnet on his head.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made it clear that if not for Harry Maguire’s effort, United would have secured a full point in the game.

However, United will have to do more to land Harry Maguire in the coming summer as they were previously priced out under former manager Jose Mourinho.
