£90m Liverpool Swoop For Serie A Striker On Track
Five-time European champions Liverpool are eyeing a possible summer swoop for one of the best strikers on the European football scene.
According to Football Transfer Tavern, the Reds could seal a summer transfer for Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi.
The £90m-rated striker has been in superb form for his Inter Milan side and that has led to talks about a move with clubs like Liverpool and Real Madrid.
Mauro Icardi is not the first striker to be linked with a summer transfer to Liverpool following the transfer links involving petite German international attacker Timo Werner.
Werner, 22, plays his club football for German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig at the moment.
Inter Milan star Mauro Icardi scored 29 goals in 34 league games for the Nerazzurri in the last campaign and he has already netted on nine occasions in the Italian Serie A this season.
The Argentine international also has two assists in the league this term.
He has scored over 20 league goals in four of the last five seasons.
Icardi will undoubtedly add a new dimension to a Liverpool attack famed for the deadly trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Brazilian international star Roberto Firmino.
The three forwards have fired Liverpool to the Champions League last 16 as well as the Premier League summit.
