Arsenal legend Martin Keown had hinted that the West London side Chelsea will make an attempt to return their former player Petr Cech to the Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

The 36-year-old recently announced his decision to part ways with the North London side and retire completely from football at the end of the season.

There is no doubt that the legendary goalkeeper is one of the best the Premier League has ever produced having broken a number of records in addition to winning a number of trophies including the Champions League.

The world class goalkeeper had a11 years spell at Chelsea before moving to Arsenal in 2015 but he could return to the West London side to pick up a coaching role as the Blues management would seek him to impart his wealth of experience on the youngers and upcoming goalkeepers.

This is according to the Arsenal legend who says that Chelsea are likely to offer Petr Cech a role at the when he finally hangs his boot at the end of the season.

According to him, it would be a big opportunity for young players to have Petr Cech available to impact by means of coaching as he will inspire them to want to become a world class keeper.

Meanwhile, reports claim that Petr Cech’s current owners wish to hand him the same coaching role at the Emirate Stadium which means Chelsea will have to battle to land him.
