Arsenal to snap up Cech’s replacement

It is no longer news that Arsenal legendary goalkeeper Petr Cech will be hanging his boot at the end of the season following his announcement earlier on.

This, therefore, means that the North London outfit will have to find a backup for Bernd Leno ahead of next season as the former Chelsea stopper is set to bid goodbye after 15 seasons career in the Premier League.

The German international became the first choice goalkeeper ahead of Petr Cech weeks after he joined the Emirate Stadium from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.

However, latest reports claim that the North London outfit have identified Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope as a replacement for the veteran goalkeeper has impressed so far this season.

Much of Nick Pope has not been seen this season as he has been away for shoulder injury with just three appearances so far this season.

Although, the ability of Nick Pope is known as he was a part of the England squad that made it to the World Cup in Russia last year. It speaks of his quality as a goalkeeper.

Meanwhile, some media claims that Columba international David Ospina could be returning from a loan spell at Napoli which makes it unnecessary for Arsenal team to sign a new stopper.
