Arsenal told price for South American attacker

North London side Arsenal have now known how much it will cost them to land Boca Juniors winger Cristian Pavon at the Emirates Stadium in the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.

Reports according to BBC state that the Argentina outfit will not take anything less than £40 million for the service of the star player.

The report also hints that the mega price tag was done to discourage top European suitors from coming for the star player but the Gunners seem not to be deterred as they desperately want to add more options to their attack.

The North London side are short in their attack as a result of the sideline of England international Danny Welbeck who has been injured and will not play again this season.

This makes the cover for Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang short knowing that there are no backups.

Also, the fact that Wales international Aaron Ramsey would be leaving makes it important for the Gunners to have a replacement of a new winger who can also play from the middle.

However, Cristian Pavon has scored a total of 5 goals and 5 assists for his Boca Junior side across all competitions this term and that makes him an asset.
