Mesut Ozil

Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has showered praise on his former boss Arsene Wenger for helping him at the club while he was in charge.

Wenger said goodbye to the Emirates Stadium after a 22 years reign at the club and was immediately replaced by Spanish manager Unai Emery who has hit the ground running with lots of improvements already seen in the team.

German international Mesut Ozil is one of those who have benefitted from the training and style of the former Paris Saint Germain boss but he feels he is still indebted to the former French boss.

Ozil said he was protected by the former boss and he was supported even when it was rough and difficult for him.

The German international expressed his gratitude to Wenger and said he would be glad to have him return to management anytime soon.

The former Real Madrid player has now regenerated into a new player with a better attitude, fighting spirit and mentality. All thanks to manager Emery who ensured the player gives his best.

Emery has praised Ozil as a good player who has shown good commitment and hard work at the club but hinted that he will continue to give him the needed push that will have him do more with more games.
