The decision by Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho to strip Pogba of captaincy duty at the club could raise the already forgotten issue.

Recall that reports had emerged of Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola forcing a move for his player away from Old Trafford by contacting Spanish giants Barcelona in the summer.

It was also alleged that personal agreement was reached when the discussion was held but United failed to sanction the move of the player. This could be stirred up again with the latest development.

It has now been revealed that the World Cup winner on Tuesday, told Mourinho of his desire to the leave the club with a move to Barcelona in sight.

The 25-year old who captained the side on three occasions this season will now lose that pride after the manager’s decision.

It has been suggested that United will be willing to let him go on the condition that his suitors are able to pay within the region of £200m for the player.

United’s vice-chairman has also taken side with Mourinho on his decision to strip the club’s £89m signing of his captaincy after the Portuguese made a case that his orders are usually being deliberately flouted by the former Juventus player.
