Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has revealed that the German champions will be the ones to decide where the future of James Rodriguez lies.

Uli Hoeness talked about James Rodriguez in his recent interview as monitored by GOAL.

There have been talks over the future of James Rodriguez at Bayern Munich and it’s not clear whether the Colombian international will stay at the Allianz Arena beyond this summer.

James Rodriguez is a Real Madrid player but he’s currently on a two-year loan to Bayern Munich until the end of this season.

The former AS Monaco and FC Porto playmaker signed for the Bavarian giants on loan at the start of last season for a fee believed to be around £11m.

Bayern Munich have the option to make his move permanent for just £37m this summer.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League especially title chasers Liverpool who doesn’t have a designated playmaker since Brazilian star Philippe Coutinho left club for Barcelona last year in a £142m deal.

London clubs Arsenal and Chelsea have also been mentioned as a possible transfer destination for the Colombian national team talisman.

Doubts over his future were intensified following reports that he has fallen out of favour with Bayern manager Niko Kovac but he has returned to the team’s starting XI after his injury layoff.
