German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are slight favourites ahead of their Champions League meeting with Liverpool at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.

Bayern Munich and Liverpool are two of three teams that have won Europe’s top tier competition five times alongside Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona.

The Bavarian giants will host Liverpool in the second leg clash billed for the Allianz Arena after both sides played out a goalless draw in the first leg of their last 16 tie in February.

Bayern Munich have won all their games since that draw against the Reds and they have been handed winning odds of 2.05 according to Bet365.

The Bavarian giants warmed up for the Champions League meeting with Liverpool with a thumping win over VFL Wolfsburg in their German Bundesliga clash on Saturday.

Bayern thrashed Wolfsburg 6-0 at home with the help of a brace from star striker Robert Lewandowski.

Liverpool and Bayern Munich have scored 21 goals between them since that first leg.

Odds of 2.00 are available for at least three goals according to Bet365.

Liverpool came close to winning the Champions League last year before the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal in the final and they would be hoping to go one better by winning the competition this season.

Odds of 3.30 for a Liverpool victory and odds of 3.60 for a stalemate between the two teams just like what was obtainable in the first leg.
