West London giants Chelsea will have to contend with the threat of Premier League rivals Manchester United in their bid to sign Paris Saint Germain (PSG) midfielder Adrien Rabiot this summer.

The Sun claim that Manchester United are the latest club to show strong interest in the French international player.

Adrien Rabiot is available on a free transfer when his current PSG deal expires.

PSG officials tried to tie him down to a new contract at the club only for the player to turn down their contract offers.

As a result of his refusal to sign a new deal, Adrien Rabiot was frozen out of the team by the club.

His last appearance came on the 11th of December in a Champions League clash with Red Star Belgrade.

He came on as a second-half substitute has PSG secured top spot in Group C with a 3-1 away win over their Serbian opponents.

Premier League sides like Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea had earlier registered their strong interest in the former Manchester City Academy player.

Adrien Rabiot is said to have requested for a lucrative contract worth £200,000 on a weekly basis from his aforementioned suitors like Chelsea in addition to a £10m sign-on fee.
