Under-fire Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that the upcoming Premier League clash with Chelsea is a massive one in the context of their season.

Solskjaer told MUTV (Manchester United TV) that the Chelsea game is a must-win game for his team in the battle to secure Champions League football next season.

Manchester United and Solskjaer have a lot of work to do if they are to play Champions League football next season starting from the home game against Chelsea at the weekend.

Manchester United are in a three-way Champions League battle with Arsenal and Chelsea with just three games left before the end of the season.

The three clubs are battling for just one point and Chelsea (67 points) are in the driving seat ahead of Arsenal (66 points) and Manchester United (64 points).

Manchester United are experiencing a poor run of form ahead of the Chelsea game billed for the Theatre of Dreams on Sunday evening.

The Red Devils have lost seven of the last nine game in all competitions including the Manchester Derby played on Wednesday night.

Manchester United were beaten at home by Manchester City who are in the hunt for a second successive league title.

Manchester City forwards Bernardo Silva and Leroy Sane scored in the second half to give the Citizens’ a 2-0 win and a place at the Premier League summit ahead of title rivals Liverpool.
