David Luiz

Chelsea defender and Brazil international, David Luiz will remain at the club after this current campaign.

A new report from Stamford Bridge has made it know that the Blues are about to table a contract extension to David Luiz.

The center back defender has been Chelsea new coach favorite since his arrival at the club in the summer transfer window.

Maurizio Sarri in an earlier statement made it known that Luiz is one of the players he likes a lot because he is direct and blunt.

The new contract deal is a victory in disguise for the 31-year-old defender.

This is because the Brazil star lost his spot to Gary Cahill under former coach, Antonio Conte and was on the edge of leaving Stamford Bridge before the timely arrival of Sarri Maurizio.

The report added that David Luiz has so far impressed Sarri Maurizio, who is keen on retaining him at the club.

David Luiz in his statement hinted on how happy he is to play under the former Napoli coach.

He said that the former banker makes the Blues players happy to play football.

According to David Luiz, the Blues new coach has improved the players level of confidence.
