Chelsea Still Lack Cutting Edge – Sarri

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is adamant that his side still lack the required ruthlessness in front of goal despite the fact that they thrashed Dynamo Kyiv FC of Ukraine 8-0 on aggregate in their last 16 tie.

While speaking ahead of the Blues’ Premier League clash with hosts Everton, Italian tactician Sarri pointed out that his players have to improve their efficiency in front of goals.

Sarri had earlier faulted his attackers in the aftermath of the 1-1 draw at home to newly promoted Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers in their league clash last weekend.

Eden Hazard rescued a point for Chelsea by scoring in added time to deny Wolves a big win.

Chelsea players responded to the criticism from their manager as they thrashed Dynamo Kyiv 5-0 away from home in the second leg of their Europa League last 16.

Frenchman Olivier Giroud was the best player by a distance after he netted three goals to take his Europa League goal tally to nine thus making him the leading goalscorer in the competition.

Marcos Alonso and Callum Hudson-Odoi were also on target.

Maurizio Sarri will be hoping that his players can carry out his instructions well ahead of their league game with Everton on Sunday evening.
