Van de Beek

English Football Club, Chelsea have shown interest in Ajax player, Van de Beek.

According to a report, Ajax have placed the sum of £40 million on the Dutchman.

This comes after the growing interest for the player from Europe big clubs.

The likes of Roma, Milan, Tottenham have all joined Chelsea in the race to sign Van de Beek.

The 21-year-old midfielder has put up some impressive performances for Ajax.

He scored 13 goals in 39 appearances last season and as at this season, he is already closing in on making his 100th first-team appearances for Ajax.

Van de Beek before making the Ajax senior team trained at the club’s Academy.

At his young age, he has also made four appearances for his home country, Holland.

However, for Chelsea to sign him, they will have to pay the sum of £40 million.

Looking at the current Blues squad, we don’t see any reason why Chelsea will want to add another midfielder to their squad when most of the ones they have are yet to start.

The Blues have the likes of Kovacic, Kante, Jorginho, Barkley, Fabregas, Loftus-Cheek, Drinkwater as midfielders.

It would be in the best interest of Van de Beek to rule out Chelsea else he is going to join the bench squad if he moves to Stamford Bridge.
