Confusion trails PSG ‘s interest in Liverpool’s target

French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) are keen to sell wantaway midfielder Adrien Rabiot when the January transfer window reopens in few days time.

The Daily Mirror say that the French capital club would like to sell the midfielder next month rather than let him go on a free at the end of the season.

Earlier reports had claimed that Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona have agreed on a free transfer move for the young French international player.

The Catalans are not the only European club interested in a move for Adrien Rabiot.

Several Premier League sides like Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have all been touted as
Rabiot, 23, has six months left on his PSG contract at the moment and he has so far refused several contracts offers from the club.

The ex-Manchester City Academy player has already told PSG officials that he won’t sign a new contract at the club as confirmed by sporting director Antero Henrique.

The PSG chief also revealed that the midfielder has been banned from the team until further notice.

It remains to be seen whether the club would grant the player his wish of a free transfer move or sell him in January.
