Why David de Gea will still end up at United’s exit door

Emerging reports claim that Manchester United might not succeed in their effort to tie Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea with a new deal worth about £200,000-a-week.

The former Atletico Madrid has been keen to leave the Old Trafford for the past months but the Red Devils are bent on having him remain as their first choice.

This led to the Manchester United side activating a clause in his deal to have him stay for another year with the hope that he can be convinced to sign a new contract before the 12 months is over.

However, Bleacher Report reveals that David De Gea is aware of the big offer he would secure from other suitors as a free player at the end of the season and that is being considered already.

The likes of Italian champions Juventus and French Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint Germain are keen to land the world-class goalkeeper as well as handing him as much as a £290,000-a-week deal should they secure him as a free player.

This, therefore, leaves United in a difficult situation knowing that it would be difficult to secure goalkeeper that will be of high quality as David De Gea in the summer market.
