Luka Jovic

German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt have requested for a swap deal as they try to sell in-form striker Luka Jovic to Real Madrid this summer.

This is according to widespread reports coming out of the Spanish media.

Luka Jovic was formerly on a two-year loan spell at Frankfurt from Portuguese giants Benfica having joined the Germans in the summer of 2017 but that deal has been made permanent for just €7m towards the end of last month.

The young Serbian international striker has been in superb form for Eintracht Frankfurt this season and its not surprising that the best teams on the European football scene are on his trail.

West London giants Chelsea were initially linked with a summer move for Jovic but it looks like Real Madrid are the overwhelming favourites for his signature.

According to popular Spanish media outlet Marca, Eintracht Frankfurt have asked for Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz as the Los Merengues try to close out a €60m summer transfer for Luka Jovic.

The Serbian has scored 26 goals in all competitions for Eintracht Frankfurt including 17 goals in the German Bundesliga this season thus making him the second topscorer after Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.

On his part, Mariano Diaz has struggled with form and fitness with just two goals scored in all competitions for Real Madrid.
