Deal On: Man Utd Eyeing Rabiot As Direct Replacement For Ex-Chelsea Star

Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a free transfer move for Paris Saint Germain (PSG) midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

This is according to the report from the Manchester Evening News (MEN) which claimed that the Red Devils are still in the running to sign the French international midfielder.

Several Premier League clubs were previously hot on the heels of Adrien Rabiot but their interest has cooled down in recent weeks.

The aforementioned publication revealed that Manchester United are still keen on a free transfer move for the player who’s open to a move back to the Premier League.

Adrien Rabiot was on the payroll of Premier League champions Manchester City before he left the club for Spain.

Real Madrid have also been linked with him as the Spanish giants rebuild their squad after a poor season by their usual lofty standards.

Manchester United see Adrien Rabiot as the direct replacement for aging midfielder Nemanja Matic.

Serbian international Matic had a very good season when he joined the Red Devils from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer of 2017 but he has not been able to maintain that form into his second season.

The absence of Champions League football could thwart Manchester United in their free transfer chase for Adrien Rabiot.
