Eden Hazard gives Chelsea a clause before he can sign a 5-year extension contract

Chelsea striker and Belgium international, Eden Hazard has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

The player had previously hinted he will make a move to the Spanish league, Real Madrid to be precise, where he intends to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, who is now at Juventus.

Eden Hazard during the World Cup in Russia disclosed he is going to leave Chelsea as he wants to lift the UEFA Champions League trophy but it looks as if new Chelsea coach, Sarri Maurizio has been able to convince him to stay at the club.

The Belgian striker had agreed to the request as he hopes to remain at Chelsea for the next two years after which his contract must have expired.

However, recent report have made it known that the Blues have tendered a 5-year contract with a wage of £300,000 per week to Eden Hazard.

But the former Lile star has refused to sign the offer as he informed the club that if he is to extend his stay then Chelsea must qualify for the next UEFA Champions League.

Eden Hazard is keen on lifting the UEFA Champions League trophy and Chelsea can’t participate in the tournament this season because they finish as the fifth team on the EPL table.
